We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 33:20-22

Helping Empower Abused Lives

Mission

W.H.E.Network helps to provide healing and empowerment for individuals, families, homes, churches, schools and other organizations through faith-based education, counseling, healing centers, resources and other support services in the areas of domestic violence, sexual abuse and related abuse. We also assist religious organizations in establishing policies and procedures that will prevent child abuse, protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.

Philosophy

Christ has commissioned us to “...heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and set at liberty them that are bruised.” Luke 4:18.

Vision

It is our vision that individuals accessing the services and programs offered and supported by W.H.E.Network will:

  • Discover their value to God.
  • Recover from dysfunctional thoughts, feelings and behaviors that predispose them to being abused or abusive;
  • Experience wholeness, healing, and renewal;
  • Grow physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and socially;
  • Become positive role models for future generations;
  • Become advocates in promoting and maintaining healthy Christian family systems.

History

Women's Healing and Empowerment Network (formerly Polly's Place Network: International Ministires) was reorganized in 2008 by Dr. Mable Dunbar as a response to the growing need for programs and services to address the issues of domestic violence and sexual abuse in the faith community.
