Polly’s Place Network: International Ministries was established June, 2003, as a response to the growing need for programs and services to address the issue of domestic violence and sexual abuse in the faith community. Mable Dunbar and Polly Westman are the co-founders of Polly’s Place Network (PPN) and the first Polly’s Place shelter program that was established in Niles, MI in 1996.

She is a sought after speaker for camp meetings, retreats, religious and secular organizations. She is passionate about helping individuals find their potential in Christ because she believes that “every human being created in the image of God is endowed with power akin to that of the Creator: individuality, power to think and to do.” E.G. White, Education, p. 17. She enjoys people, reading, gardening and cooking. She has been married to Dr. C. A. Dunbar for over 35 years and they are the proud parents of 3 young adults.
Polly Westman is a Registered Nurse and co-founder of Polly's Place Network. For over 25 years, she and her husband operated their own Nursing Home. Polly was born on a farm in Northern Michigan and is one of 14 brothers and sisters. Her loving Christian parents taught her about the love of Jesus and power of prayer. Her mother loved children and would take in foster children whose parents had abandoned them. Polly helped her mother care for the children in need. In one case, they cared for a tiny baby of a pregnant teen so that the young mother could go to school. Polly saw and felt the love given this teen mom and her baby, and the joy that came to this scared little mother, just a child herself. Polly knew then, that by God's grace, she wanted to serve Jesus by helping others. Since her retirement from nursing home administration, she enjoys spending time in philanthropic work, while advocating for families and pregnant teens in crisis. Polly’s greatest desire is to surrender her all to Jesus. Polly has been married for over 40 years and has two adult children.
