Joyce YeagerJoyce Yeager, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive training in the area of domestic violence, desires that Christian men and women recognize their full potential in Jesus so they can experience Joy that is Unstoppable. She believes this can happen when they learn how to experience love in their relationships with each other. She is particularly interested in working with people who struggle with abuse issues. Having grown up in family violence, Joyce knows first-hand the pain that families experience in this situation. Joyce is the director of Polly’s Place Southwest in Texas and is Chairperson for the Safe Family Committee, a group of dedicated persons interested in strengthening families in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Joyce is happily married to Norman, who has taught her the joy and love that can be experienced through relationship. They have two sons, Jeff and Brian, who are married to the best “daughters” in the world! Joyce and Norman are blessed with three precious grandchildren.

Program Description: Polly's Place Southwest, Inc. is Christian-based counseling center located in a church in Collin County.

Program Description:

Here at the Polly’s Place Chapter in New York we provide time and space for women and their families to heal and experience peace after domestic and social violence. Our extensive support services include Christian counseling, economic empowerment and domestic peacemaking skills. We are especially designed for Rest, Renewal, Restoration, Healing and Hope. During 2008 we are scheduled to start a program providing education and resources for religious institutions, leaders, church members and the community in general. Rose HofackerRose Hofacker, Prayer Warrior, Co-Director of Polly’s Inn Ministries, Co-Founder of Teen Girl’s Conference “Awakening Hearts”, Women’s Ministry Leader, wife and mother of two, has a passion to empower teen girls and women to be all that God has created them to be, to embrace the calling God has for them, and to help them rise above the issues that prevent them from seeing themselves as He sees them. Rose learned to embrace God’s calling by taking the hand of her Comforter, the source of strength; her Provider and Healer of her wounds. God is the only father she has known and through His love learned to soar above life’s circumstances. Her love for her Lord is authentic, contagious and motivating. Polly’s Inn Ministries, will be a place that lovingly recovers and restores the broken hearts and lives of teen-age girls and young women through the transforming power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Awakening Hearts Girl’s Teen Conference is a special weekend of activities where the hearts of our teen girls can be lovingly awakened to the love of God. This is an event designed to give them a deeper and more meaningful connection with themselves and others. According to the girls who have experienced this conference, they get a chance to express their individuality and participate in an intensely honest, faith building, and life changing experience.

Mable C. DunbarMable C. Dunbar is President of Polly’s Place Network, a non-profit organization that provides Christian counseling, education, consultation, networking and support services to Help Empower Abused Lives (HEAL). She is also the Women’s Ministries Director, Family Life Educator for the Upper Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and directs their Counseling Center. She has a Ph.D. in Family Mediation, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. She advocates for abused individuals, conducts seminars, workshops, training programs on domestic violence, abuse issues, relationships, and women’s issues. She is a featured speaker for camp meetings, women’s retreats, educational conferences, etc. She is the author of “The Truth About Us: How to discover the potential God has given you.”

Program Description:

Patty’s Healing Center is designed to provide safety, support, Christian counseling, holistic healing and hope for women and their children who suffer from the effects of domestic violence and sexual abuse. It is our intentional purpose to help women understand their potential in Christ and become self-sufficient so that they will make choices that will help them live abuse free lives.

KarenKaren Fettig started Window of Hope Ministry in 1998 by, as a health ministry; ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual health of those in need. In 1996 Karen attended the Desert Hot Springs Therapy Center taking the “Hydrotherapy and Simple Remedies” class, where she learned how to apply simple remedies, such as the use of water and activated charcoal to prevent and treat illnesses and other conditions. In 2001 she attended the Banning School of Massage, completing 100 hours of massage training.

She is a certified Prepare/Enrich Counselor, and a Bruce Fisher Divorce Recovery Instructor. She has completed the 20 hour courses on Depression Recovery and Regeneration, (A Christ Centered 12 step program.)

Karen is a self taught herbalist. She has done field trips on the Wild Edibles/Medicinal Plants of the Big Horn Basin. Other seminars she has presented around the state of Wyoming include: Hydrotherapy, Activated Charcoal, Positive Thinking, Communication: “Why am I afraid to tell you who I am?”, and “Protecting Children from Child Molesters”

Using her knowledge and experience of being an incest survivor, Karen will be directing her ministry as well to those who have been sexually abused. In August 2004 she organized a statewide seminar presenting well known author and speaker, Jan Frank, who is a licensed family marriage councilor and expert on the topic of sexual abuse recovery.

At the present time Karen is the director of Wyoming Women’s Ministries for the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her vision is to minister to the people of Wyoming, for a healthier Wyoming.

Karen is married with two grown children. She loves God, family and ministering to the needs of others. Her other interests include: rock work, horseback riding, gardening, hiking and writing inspirational stories.
